Aamir Khan is a Bollywood film actor, film director, and producer also known as Mr. Perfect. . Aamir has established himself as one of the most well-known and powerful actors in Indian cinema.

Khan has received many honors, including four National Film Awards, nine Filmfare awards, and an AACTA Award, as well as an Academy Award nomination for film productions. He was honored to Receive Padma Shri in 2003 and the Padma Bhushan in 2010, and he was given an honorary position by the Chinese government in 2017.

Khan made his film debut as a child artist in his uncle Nasir Hussain’s film Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973). Holi (1984) was his first feature film role as an adult. As a lead actor in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988), he started a full-time acting career.

Hussain and his son Mansoor cast Aamir as the male lead opposite Juhi Chawla in Mansoor’s directorial debut film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988). The film was a huge commercial success for Khan and Juhi Chawla took one step to stardom. It won seven Filmfare Awards, also Aamir received the Best Male Debut award.

In 1990, Aamir appeared in five films but four films flopped including-  Awwal Number, Tum Mere Ho, Deewana Mujh Sa Nahin, and Jawani Zindabad. However, the romantic drama film Dil directed by Indra Kumar film stars Madhuri Dixit with Aamir was a huge success and one of the highest Bollywood box office collections films of that year.

Next year he appeared alongside Pooja Bhatt (daughter of Mahesh Bhatt) box office hit film Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin (1991). The film was a remake of the Hollywood It Happened One Night.

After that, he worked in many successful films including Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992), Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (1993), Andaz Apna Apna (1994), and Rangeela (1995).

In 1996 he appeared in Raja Hindustani opposite Karishma Kapoor. The film was the biggest hit and become one of the highest-earning films of the year.

He appeared in Ishq (1997), which was successful at the box office. The next year in 1998 Khan appeared in the pretty successful film Ghulam, he also did playback singing in this film.

Sarfarosh, Khan’s 1st film in 1999, was also successful and performed better than expected at the box office. Film Mela (2000), in which he co-starred with his brother Faisal, flopped at the box office.

In 2001 he produced and played the lead in Lagaan.  The film received positive reviews at many international film festivals, as well as many Indian film awards, including a National Film Award. Later that year he worked in the hit film Dil Chahta Hai written and directed by Farhan Akhtar.

After a Few years’ break in 2005, Aamir play the lead in Mangal Pandey: The Rising. Next Year he appeared in highest grossing Bollywood movie of the year Rang De Basanti (2006). The same year he worked in Fanaa (2006) opposite Kajol.

Taare Zameen Par, Aamir’s directorial debut in 2007.  The film, his Productions’ second release, received favorable reviews from both critics and audiences.  He won the Best Director Filmfare Award and Best Film award in 2007.

Aamir starred in the film Ghajini in 2008. The film was a massive commercial success and break many Bollywood movie records. Aamir played Ranchodas Chanchad in 3 Idiots in 2009. At the time, the film was the highest-grossing Bollywood film ever and break the Ghajini record. The film was praised internationally.

Khan starred as the main character alien in Rajkumar Hirani’s comedy-drama PK in 2014. The film was highly praised and went on to become the top Bollywood film of all time.

Khan produced and appeared in Dangal in 2016, playing wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat. The film received favorable reviews from audiences and went on to become the greatest Bollywood film of all time.

Khan appeared as a supporting actor in his production successful film Secret Superstar in October 2017. This film’s budget was 20 crore and earns 876 crores. After this film, he worked with Amitabh Bachchan in Thugs of Hindostan (2018). The film received a negative review.

In 2022 he appeared in Laal Singh Chaddha the remake of the Hollywood film Forrest Gump. The film received mixed reviews from critics and audiences and didn’t perform well at the box office.
