Ranbir Kapoor was last seen on the big screen in 2022, and he is now preparing for his upcoming fantasy adventure film Brahmastra.
He has been away from the screen for over four years before the release of Samshera and had been filming for the film the entire time, according to reports. The actor has worked hard to fit into the role of Shiva.
Ayan Mukherji directed Brahmastra and co-wrote the screenplay with Hussain Dalal. Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Ayan, Apoorva Mehta, Namit Malhotra, and Marijke Desouza produce it through Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus, and Starlight Pictures.
Brahmastra 2-Star Cast
There is no word about the other cast members’ participation in the second half of the movie; however, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will be back. However, it’s anticipated that the second section will reveal the new faces.
According to rumours, the second chapter of Ayan’s Brahmastra Universe would focus on the love story between Shiva and Isha’s alternate names, Mahadev and Parvati. The two common names for the primary leads in the second instalment were Hrithik Roshan and Ranveer Singh, and the internet has been swamped with fan theories about them.
Hrithik Roshan reportedly turned down a crucial role in the sequel since he was already working on Krrish 4 and Ramayana, two movies with lots of special effects. Additionally, he wants to make more films this decade and does not want to end up investing the next seven years in just three VFX-heavy projects.
However, according to media sources, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will star in the second instalment of Brahmastra, with an official confirmation still pending. Deepika Padukone made an uncredited appearance in the first Brahmastra instalment. Amrita, the Jalastra-wielding mother of Shiva, is portrayed by Ranbir’s former DP.
Trilogy of Brahmastra movie series
Producer Karan Johar, who announced the movie in 2017, and director Ayan Mukerji both confirmed that Brahmastra will be a three-part trilogy. In a recent Brhamastra-beginnings video, Mukerji explained how the Journey of Brahmastra began, which was inspired by Indian culture, its old tales, and its spirituality.
Ayan stated in an interview from 2018 that the trilogy would be produced over a ten-year span. The first instalment of Brahmastra, Part 1, has been released, and at its conclusion, the antagonist for the second, “Brahmastra: Part 2: Dev,” was revealed.
With it, rumours about the second installment’s star cast are circulating among fans and movie buffs.
Brahmastra 2 Shooting
The producers have not yet announced a start date for the second film in the trilogy’s production. The script for Part 2 is ready, but according to Ayan Mukerji’s most recent interviews, the Brahmastra team will decide when it will go into production.
Having said that, the sequel is expected to start filming around the end of 2022 or the beginning of 2023, according to the entertainment website Bollywood Hungama. as a result of the prequel’s commercial success.
