Chandramukhi 2 Release Date, Star Cast, Budget, Trailer & More Information

Rajinikanth’s 2005 Tamil comedy horror film Chandramukhi sequel titled Chandramukhi 2 is in progress.  On 15 July 2022 Chandramukhi 2 movie shooting has been started.

Prabhu, Jyothika, Vadivelu, and Nayanthara star in the critically acclaimed film Chandramukhi. The film was a Tamil remake of the 1993 Malayalam superhit Manichitrathazhu, which was remade in many languages, including Kannada as Apthamitra (2004) and Hindi as Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007).

Nagavalli, a standalone sequel to Chandramukhi, was released in Telugu in 2010. Its upcoming Tamil sequel, Chandramukhi 2, is also generating a lot of buzzes, and expectations are high.

Star Cast of Chandramukhi 2

The lead character in the movie is played by actor-director-choreographer Raghava Lawrence, who is most known for his work on the highly acclaimed Kanchana film series.

The movie also has famed actor-comedian Vadivelu in the major role in addition to Raghava Lawrence. He will play the iconic Murugesan from the first movie once more.

Regarding the female lead, it has been rumored that Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut would portray Chandramukhi, a well-known dancer at the court of Kings who is famed for her dancing prowess and beautiful beauty.

According to these rumors, Chandramukhi would be her second Tamil film, following the highly acclaimed biographical drama Thalaivii, which is based on the life of famous Indian actress-politician Jayalalithaa.

In the first movie, Jyothika, an actress and producer, played Chandramukhi.

Chandramukhi 2 Cinematography, Filmmaker, and Info

Chandramukhi 2 was announced in April 2020, with director P. Vasu, who directed the first film, also returning to direct the sequel. Shivaji Productions chose the title for the film.

Sun Pictures was supposed to produce the film, but it was taken over by filmmaker Subaskaran Allirajah’s Lyca Productions, marking his first collaboration with Raghava Lawrence.

M.M. Keeravani, a legendary music director, has been tapped to compose the film’s music and background score, while R.D. Rajasekar will operate the camera and Thotta Tharani will handle the cinematography. Raghava Lawrence later announced it on social media in June 2022.
