Danush’s real name is Venkatesh Prabhu Kasthuri Raja and he was born on 28 July 1983 in Madras, Tamil Nadu, India. Apart from being an actor, he is also a director, producer, and playback singer.
Before joining movies, Dhanush wanted to become a chef but his elder brother Selvaraghavan suggested him to become an actor and finally started his movie career with the Tamil movie Thulluvadho Ilamai (2002) directed by his father Kasthuri Raja.
He then played the lead role in the Tamil movie Kaadhal Kondane (2003) opposite actress Sonia Agarwal, directed by his brother.
After doing a few more movies, he started getting recognition in the Tamil film industry with the movies Polladhavan (2007) and Yaaradi Nee Mohini (2008).
Then she acted in many Tamil movies including super hit movies Aadukalam (2011), Vada Chennai (2018), Asuran (2019), and many more.
Dhanush has impressed Bollywood and Hollywood filmmakers with his acting and has also acted in a few Bollywood movies Raanjhanaa (2013), Atrangi Re (2021), and the Hollywood movie The Gray Man (2022).
