Ayushmann Khurrana, one of Bollywood’s most promising performers, is recognised for his preference for movies that focus on social themes. He is back with another medical comedy movie, Doctor G.
The movie, which was one of Ayushmann’s less-hyped productions, is performing well at the box office—or, perhaps more accurately, better than anyone had anticipated—and it appears that it will help to make up for the letdown that his most eagerly anticipated picture to date, “Anek,” experienced.
Doctor G Box Office Report
The movie is performing well in theatres and can disprove claims made frequently regarding the niche nature of the market for mid-sized movies. For the movie to be deemed a smash hit, there is still more work to be done, and word of mouth will ultimately decide this in the following days.
The movie, which had a Rs. 30-35 crore budget, produced about Rs. 3.78 crore on its opening day, which is significantly higher than anticipated, according to film critic Taran Adarsh.
Despite low pre-release buzz, #DoctorG puts up a decent total on Day 1… National chains fare better, while mass pockets are extremely dull… Has scope for improvement on Day 2 and 3… Needs that push for a respectable weekend total… Fri ₹ 3.87 cr. #India biz. pic.twitter.com/dEtKtP7Tcd

Doctor G OTT Release Date
The movie is currently in theatres, but if you can’t see Ayushmann in all his glory there, you can watch it on OTT since Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights to the production.
On December 11, 2022, the movie will begin to stream on Netflix.

Doctor G Movie Review
This comedy film depicts the struggles of Ayushmann’s character Dr. Uday Gupta, a.k.a. Guddu, a male gynaecologist, and humorously presents the audience with the problems they encounter.
Along with Ayushmann, it also stars Rakul Preet Singh as Dr. Fatima, Shefali Shah as his superior Dr. Nandini Srivasatav, and Sheeba Chaddha as his mother. The character of Chaddi, best buddy to Ayushmann, is played by Abhay Mishra.
The movie performed well at the box office and earned respectable reviews. Due to Ayushmann’s recent performances, the movie returns his lost fanbase back into theatres.
Here are some well-known movie critics’ reviews:
Interesting premise, engrossing drama [second half keeps you hooked], neat performances [#AyushmannKhurrana, #ShefaliShah] are a big plus… Patchy first half [humour falls flat] and forgettable music are downers. #DoctorGReview pic.twitter.com/FVNUyVtI5X
