The sequel to the 2019 comedy Dream Girl, which starred the up-and-coming young actor Ayushmann Khurrana, is titled Dream Girl 2. The former, which starred Nushratt Bharucha, was a huge hit, earning 200 crores around the globe on an average budget of 28 crores.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday, the stars of Dream Girl 2, begin filming in the middle of 2022. Since the film is being filmed in North India, where it was originally scheduled to begin production in June, the production team decided to postpone it until August. In June, pre-production work got started.

Dream Girl 2 Star Cast & Makers

Dream Girl 2’s principal actor, Ayushmann Khurrana, has been a given since production began. Ayushmann had a successful period prior to the pandemic, but despite having a huge budget and a compelling plot, his post-pandemic film, directed by Anubhav Sinha, was a major disaster for him professionally.

In the meantime, interest in the movie’s female star was being generated by the headlines. It was reported that Tejasswi Prakash, a television actress who is currently winning hearts as Pratha in Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin 6, would be making her Bollywood debut with Dream Girl 2. However, none other than Liger star Ananya Panday was chosen to play the key female roles in this movie.

This sequel is made funnier by an ensemble cast of experienced performers, including Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Vijay Raaz, Seema Pahwa, Manoj Joshi, and Rajpal Yadav.

Raaj Shaandilyaa served as the film’s director, and ALT Entertainment and Ekta and Shobha Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures provided the funding. Speaking of Dream Girl 2, the same production companies will finance the endeavor, and director Raaj will take a seat once more.
