Gali Guleiyan OTT Release Date, Reviews, Star Cast

Manoj Bajpayee, one of Bollywood’s most diverse and gifted performers, has announced the OTT release of Gali Guleiyan, his 2017 psychological thriller movie, which is also known as “In the Shadows” in English.

The film is about a character named Khuddoos, played by Manoj Bajpayee, who is confined inside the walls and alleys of Old Delhi and his own mind and tries to break free in order to make a human connection. It was directed and produced by Dipesh Jain.

Gali Guleiyan, which had its theatrical release on September 7, 2018, had its world premiere at a number of prestigious international film festivals, including the 2018 Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, the Atlanta Film Festival, the 42nd Cleveland International Film Festival, the 22nd Busan International Film Festival, and MAMI.

After playing in theatres for four years, the critically praised movie is now slated for an OTT release. On the festival of Diwali, actor Manoj Bajpyaee informed his followers on social media that the movie would be available for OTT streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The movie’s premiere date has not yet been made public.

The movie amassed a lifetime box office total of Rs. 50 crore and won awards at various international film festivals. It was praised as a sympathetically presented drama with some nice twists by the American internet and print publication “The Hollywood Reporter.”

Manoj Bajpayee, a National Award-winning actor who is well-known for his work, referred to the part he played as “my Everest as an actor.” The way the movie depicts disturbing psychological isolation and parent-child distance is what most impresses us about it.

Gali Guleiyan also has Shahana Goswami as Saira in addition to Manoj Bajpayee as Khuddoos. She has also acted in a number of films and web series, including The Last Hour, Bombay Begums, and A Suitable Boy. Along with them, it also features Om Singh as Idris, Ranvir Shorey as Ganeshi, and Neeraj Kabi as Liakat.
