A follow-up to the 1993 fantasy horror film Hocus Pocus, Hocus Pocus 2 is an upcoming American production. Anne Fletcher, best known for her work on the movies Step Up (2006), 27 Dresses (2008), and The Proposal (2009), is the film’s director.

A sequel has been discussed since 2014, and several original film stars have expressed interest in reprising their roles. Finally, it was announced that it would begin production in 2019 and that D’Angelo would pen the screenplay.

Finally available is the Hocus Pocus 2 teaser. The trailer opens with a high school girl preparing to celebrate her 16th birthday with two of her other school friends, 29 years after the events of Hocus Pocus.

It also shows a shopkeeper telling the girl that a witch gains her powers on her 16th birthday. The young child is seen in the trailer reading a spell when an old candle ignites, frightening them. Following that, the Sanderson sisters appear on the screen. the teaser that follows.

Hocus Pocus 2 Disney+ Hotstar Release Date

The much-anticipated sequel’s release date has been announced by the movie’s producers, and it is now official that the film will be released on Disney+ Hotstar on September 30, 2022, as a directed-to-OTT release.

The sequel brings back the legendary trio of Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy and was produced by Adam Shankman, Lynn Harris, David Kirschner, and Steven Haft under the auspices of Walt Disney Pictures and David Kirschner Productions.

After a 29-year interval, three of them took on the roles of the Sanderson Sisters, who are, respectively, the witches Winnie Sanderson, Sarah Sanderson, and Mary Sanderson.

Doug Jones, Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Belissa Escobedo, Hannah Waddingham, Tony Hale, Sam Richardson, and Froy Cutierrez are also featured in the sequel in addition to these famous actors. Ginger Minj, Cornbread Jete, and Kahmora Hall, the stars of the American reality competition TV series “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” will play drag queens who impersonate Winnie, Sarah, and Mary.
