Lootere Disney+ Hotstar Release Date, Star Cast, Trailer, Plot

The father-son team of Hansal Mehta and Raj Mehta are working together on a suspense online series dubbed “Lootere,” which is believed to be produced on a large scale, following their highly successful financial thriller web series “Scam 1992.”

This planned Disney+Hotstar special series is written and directed by Jai Mehta, the son of founder Hansal Mehta. Written by Jai, Vishal Kapoor, Suparn Varma, and Vaibhav Vishal, it has the working title Pirates.

Lootere Series First Trailer

The series’ first look trailer, which was recently released by Hansal Mehta, looks to be an exciting story of dread and mayhem. According to reports, the series centres on the Somalian pirates and is a made-up web series that was inspired by actual occurrences.

Hansal is also putting the finishing touches on Scam 2003, the sequel to his popular web series Scam 1992.

Lootere Star Cast

According to the trailer, only Rajat Kapoor, who is at the centre of the action, is visible; the other cast members are still a mystery. However, according to media reports, it would feature a number of actors, including Aamir Ali, Vivek Gomber, Deepak Tijori, Rajat Kapoor, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Amruta Khanvilkar, Gaurav Paswala, and Harry Parmar.

Lootere Release Date

Lootere was shot in Cape Town, Delhi, and Ukraine, as well as on a big ship. The release date has not yet been announced by the producers, but if rumours are to be believed, it will air on Disney+Hostar in 2022’s fourth quarter (October to December).

Shaailesh R. Singh is producing the series through his company, Karma Media and Entertainment. According to sources, it was filmed over a 90-day period in Cape Town, Delhi, and Ukraine.

On the professional front, Hansal Mehta’s upcoming projects include the Netflix series Scoop, Scam 2003 (showrunner), Faraaz, Dedh Bigha Zameen (Producer), and an untitled SonyLiv series. The latter will be based on the journey and exploits of Rameshwar Nath Kao, or RN Kao, the first director of India’s foreign intelligence agency.
