The Gray Man 2 Release Date, Star Cast, Trailer, and Plot

The Gray Man, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, also known as the Russo Brothers, and released recently on Netflix on July 22, 2022, will come back with its sequel.

The Gray Man had a limited theatrical premiere on July 15, 2022, before its digital release on Netflix. Both the general audience and critics had mixed reactions to it, enjoying the ensemble cast while criticizing the formulaic plot and fast-moving pacing.

Days after the highly anticipated, $200 million-budget CIA thriller debuted on global streaming giant Netflix, the company announced plans to expand the franchise with a sequel and a spin-off, both of which are currently in development.

The Gray Man Universe is growing, and a sequel starring Ryan Gosling, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, and co-written by Stephen McFeely, whose credits include “Avengers: Endgame” and “Captain America: Civil War,” is in the works.

The sequel to The Gray Man will see the return of the Russo Brothers as directors, and also Stephen McFeely as a co-writer.

The Russos and AGBO’s Mike Larocca will co-finance the film with Joe Roth and Jeffrey Kirschenbaum for Roth Kirschenbaum Films.

The Russo brothers also confirmed Ryan Gosling’s return as Sierra Six, a CIA black ops assassin who had to flee after trying to uncover incriminating secrets about the agency.

Dhanush Welcome Again

The Russos have also confirmed the return of Tamil megastar Dhanush, who has won millions of hearts across the country and is now wowing Hollywood with his exceptional acting skills. The actor who plays Avik San, aka “lone wolf,” in The Gray Man will also appear in the sequel to The Gray Man.

The Russo brothers visited India last week to attend a screening of The Gray Man in Mumbai. They attended the screening with Dhanush. Joe Russo promised at the press event that Dhanush would be a part of the franchise in the future.
