Following The Kashmir Files by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, it appears Indian audiences will witness yet another devastating tale of human tragedy that would leave them inconsolable.
This time, one of the largest producers in the Indian film industry, Vipul Amrutlal Shah, is prepared to deliver to the big screen a tale based on some tragic real-life events.
We’re discussing his new book, The Kerala Story, which will recount the experiences of hundreds of women who vanished from the Indian state of Kerala. Aankhen, Waqt, Namastey London, and other critically acclaimed films directed by Shah are supported by his company Sunshine Pictures Pvt. Ltd.
Additionally, he has produced films including Sanak, Force, Commando: A One Man Army, Commando 2, and Singh is Kinng. The Kerala Story is produced by Aashin A. Shah and Shah.
THE KERALA STORY TEASER & PLOT
The 1.5-minute teaser, which was released in November, depicts the tale of a tragic human event as it reveals the circumstances around the disappearance of 32,000 women in Kerala, a state in southern India.
The brief but powerful teaser tells the tale of one such victim, Sheetal Unnikrishnan, played by Adah Sharma, who wanted to be a nurse but was abducted from her home, converted to Islam, and is now being held as an ISIS terrorist in a prison in Afghanistan. Sheetal was abducted from her home and converted to Islam.

THE KERALA STORY CAST & CREW
The Kerala Story, directed by Sudipto Das of Aasma, Lucknow Time, and The Last Monk fame, has Adah Khan as the main character. In the film, she will be seen portraying Sheetal Unnikrishan.
After Commando 2 and Commando 3, this film marks her third collaboration with Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The remaining members of the movie’s lead cast have not yet been revealed.
