The Last of Us Season 1 OTT Release Date, Star Cast, Trailer

Based on the 2013 Naughty Dog video game of the same name, The Last of Us is an upcoming HBO Original series. The series, which is marketed as a post-apocalyptic drama, is thought to be the biggest television production in Canadian history.

It is the first HBO show to have a video as its inspiration. Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions, Naughty Dog, The Mighty Mint, and World Games all contributed funding to the game. The television show was filmed in Alberta, Canada, from July 2021 to June 2022.

THE LAST OF US OTT RELEASE DATE

The series will debut on Sunday, January 15, 2023, on HBO and HBO Max. It was created by Craig Mazin, the guy behind the critically acclaimed “Chernobyl” miniseries, and renowned video game creator Neil Druckmann. There will be nine episodes, all of which were written by Mazin and Druckmann.

Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey are shown travelling through an overgrown metropolis in a new poster released by the series’ creators on Wednesday, November 2.

THE LAST OF US TEASER

HBO unveiled the teaser for this eagerly awaited series on September 26, 2022. The Last of Us centres on Joel, a brave survivor who is recruited to smuggle a 14-year-old girl named Ellie out of a repressive quarantine zone. The story is set two decades after the collapse of contemporary society.

Along with Rutina Wesley and Brand Leland, Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker, who played Ellie and Joel in the games, will also appear in the series in unspecified roles. Maria and Clickers, two additional characters from the show, will appear.
