The Enforcement Directorate seized approximately Rs. 40 croresz+ in cash from the home of Arpita Mukherjee, a close associate of All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) minister Partha Chatterjee.
The amount recovered from Arpita Mukherjee’s premises is subject to the amount recovered from the West Bengal School Service Commission and West Bengal Primary Education Board recruitment scam.
Officers from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) also recovered 20 mobile phones and cash from Arpita Mukherjee’s home.
According to the ED’s statement, they claimed that they conducted search operations in several locations in relation to the teacher’s recruitment scam, during which a large amount of money was recovered.

Who is Arpita Mukherjee
Arpita is a model and actress. She has appeared in several Odia and Tamil films, as well as two Bengali films, Mama Bhagne and Partner. Partha Chatterjee’s close aide Arpita Mukherjee is related to TMC.
According to various sources, she has been promoting Naktala Puja for many years and has been seen campaigning with Partha Chatterjee at Behala West Centre on several occasions. For the past few years, she has been living in a luxury flat in a posh neighborhood of South Kolkata.
Teacher Recruitment Scam in West Bengal
The move follows the Calcutta High Court’s directive orders to investigate the teacher recruitment scam, which alleged irregularities in the recruitment of Group-C and D staff as well as teachers in government-sponsored and -aided schools based on West Bengal School Service Commission recommendations.
The money trail in the scam is being followed by the Enforcement Directorate.
Arpita Mukherjee Connection of TMC
Arpita Mukherjee is a close associate of Partha Chatterjee, a TMC minister, and has been seen campaigning for Partha on several occasions.

The Trinamool Congress has denied all of these allegations, claiming that the money recovered from Arpita Mukherjee has no connection to the party or to her.
