Yugi Tamil Movie OTT Release Date, Teaser, Star Cast, Trailer

Actor Kathir is prepared to make a comeback with his forthcoming bilingual movie named Yugi after capturing the hearts of Tamil viewers with his outstanding performance in Pushkar-criminal Gayathri’s thriller series Suzhal: The Vortex, which was made available on Amazon Prime Video.

Yugi, a purportedly dramatic thriller, is helmed by Zac Harriss, who also wrote the screenplay. Packiaraj Ramalingam wrote the movie’s plot and dialogue. The dual-language thriller will be published in both Tamil and Malayalam at the same time; the latter version is titled Adrishyam.

During the shutdown, the multilingual movie was fully compliant with COVID guidelines when it was being filmed in Chennai and Pondicherry.


The producers are preparing special professional methods and the ideal period for the movie’s global theatre distribution. The movie’s official release date has now also been disclosed. On Tuesday, Kathir revealed that the movie’s theatrical debut will take place on November 18, 2022.

After That, the movie will be released on the OTT platform during the starting month of 2023


The movie’s producers also unveiled the teaser along with the release date. The two-minute trailer, which was made available via Moviebuff Tamil’s official YouTube account, looks incredibly intriguing and has piqued fans’ interest in the movie.

In it, Kathir is shown looking for his mysteriously vanished love interest. The core of the narrative is what caused her disappearance and who is responsible.


In the upcoming bilingual film Yugi, talented and young actress Kathir co-stars with actress Anandhi, who will be making her Malayalam debut. Natrajan Subramaniam, Pavithra Lakshmi, Athmiya, Munishkanth, Namo Narayan, and Vinodhini are also featured alongside them in the film.

On the other side, Joju George plays the part of Kathir and Sharafudheen plays the part of Natrajan in the Malayalam adaptation. In collaboration with AAR Productions and Juvis Productions, UAN Film House is funding both versions of the movie.

The technical team for the movie consists of the art director Gopi Anand, editor Jomin, and cinematographer Pushparaj Santhosh. Ranjan Raj composed the score for the movie.
