Kareena Kapoor Khan was born on 21 September 1980 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India to actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita.
During her schooling time, Kareena was not much interested in acting but she was a big fan of actress Nargis and Meena Kumari and while studying law at Government Law College, Mumbai, she got interested in acting. Then left his studies and joined Kishore Namit Kapoor’s acting classes.
In 2000, she made her debut as the lead actress opposite Abhishek Bachchan in the romantic drama movie Refugee directed by J. P. Dutta. Her first movie was the biggest hit of that year at the box office and Kareena was also awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her performance.
