Know The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Trailer, Cast & Release Date
Directed by Sandeep Singh, The Pride of India – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s release date has been announced with the first poster. This film is based on the life of Shivaji, the great king of the Maratha Empire who fought for independence from the Mughals in the 17th century.
This is a mega-budget film ready to be released in theaters on 19 February 2026 in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and English languages.
This is Sandeep Singh’s second film as a director, before this, he had directed Safed in which Meera Chopra, Abhay Verma, Barkha Bisht, and Zanai Bhosle ( grand daughter of legendary singer Asha Bhosle), and Jameel Khan were seen in the lead roles.
In an interview, the director had this to say about this film being made on Chhatrapati Shivajiraje Bhosale: “There could be nothing better than this. I have been working on the script since 2019, after five years of labor and love. I hope our audience will appreciate our film and the efforts invested in it.”
A strong team of industry experts is working on this project, which includes the talented writing duo Siddharth-Garima, acclaimed cinematographer Aseem Bajaj, renowned choreographer Ganesh Hegde, renowned costume designer Sheetal Sharma, accomplished production designer Sandeep Sharad Raode and veteran casting director Kavish Sinha. Music will be composed by Devi Sri Prashad and details about the cast will be revealed by the makers as soon as the shooting starts, which is expected to increase people’s excitement about the film.
