Born on 8 April 1988 in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, actress Nithya Menen works in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi cinema.

After completing her education at Poorna Prajna School and Mount Carmel College, Bangalore, Nithya wanted to make a career as a journalist but due to not liking journalism, she turned to filmmaking and did a cinematography course at the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune.

She has also worked as a child actress in Frédéric Fougea’s directed Indian French film Hanuman at the age of 10 and made her acting debut in 2006 with a supporting role in the Kannada film 7 O’ Clock, starring Mithun Tejaswi and Pooja Kanwal.

Then in 2008 she played the lead role in award-winning director K. P. Kumaran’s Malayalam film Aakasha Gopuram opposite Mohanlal and continued to appear in Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil films.

In 2019, Menen also played a supporting role in the Bollywood film Mission Mangal.

Menen has never faced any problems in working in different cinema industries of India because she speaks and understands Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and English languages very well.

Apart from being an actress, she is also a very good singer, and in 2022, her music video Tanha (Thaniye in Malayalam) was released in Hindi and Malayalam languages.

Currently, she is working on the upcoming Malayalam movie Aaram Thirukalpana which is in the post-production stage and will be ready to hit theaters very soon.
