A new biography has been added to Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s repertoire as a result of her recent announcement of a new movie. The actress will soon appear in the upcoming movie Noti Binodini, which is based on the 19th-century Bengali theatre performer Binodini Dasi, also known as Noti Binodini or Notee Binodini.
In her biopic Thalaivii, for which she also received the Best Actress Award at the recently held SIIMA Awards 2022, the four-time national award-winning actress was previously seen as the late Tamil Nadu politician J. Jayalalithaa.
The actress is now in the process of filming Emergency, in which she plays the influential politician and former prime minister of India, Indira Gandhi. Her second directing project following Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, and she is helming the picture herself.
She is now ready to begin filming the role of theatre icon Noti Bindoni. Binodiini, a Bengali film based on the biography of Noti Binodini, is also in production. It was helmed by the critically renowned filmmaker Ram Kamal Mukherjee and features Bengali diva Rukmini Maitra in the lead role.

Pradeep Sarkar, famed for his work on Parineeta and Mardaani, will helm the picture; Prakash Kapadia, who has written for films like Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, Black, Padmaavat, and Bajirao Mastani among others, will pen the script.
There has been no information made public regarding the other members of the lead cast besides Kangana Ranaut. Pradeep Sarkar, the filmmaker, and the “Queen” actress work together for the first time in this movie.
