Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani Release Date, OTT, Trailer, Plot & More

After Gully Boy (2019), Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt will be seen together again in an upcoming romantic comedy film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.

The work of this movie started on 20 August 2021 and its shooting was completed in Russia as well as in some places of India but the shooting of a video song was stopped due to Alia’s pregnancy and the birth of baby Swahili on 6 November 2022.

Now the song work of this movie is also complete and is ready to hit the theaters in July 2023. Soon the makers will share its first teaser.

Release Date

Alia Bhatt announced the release date of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani from her official Instagram account on 2nd February 2023 and all of you are ready to watch it in theaters on 28th July 2023.

According to media reports, OTT platform Amazon Prime has bought its digital rights and it will be available to watch on Prime Video in August 2023.

Star Cast

It will star Ranveer as Rocky and Alia as Rani while Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi, Arjun Bijlani, Shraddha Arya, Zessica Harrison will also be seen in important roles.

Shabana Azmi was earlier seen in Gully Boy with Ranveer and Alia.

Other actors Tota Roy Chowdhury, Garima Agarwal, Saswata Chatterjee, Karmveer Choudhary, Sriti Jha, Arjit Taneja, Churni Ganguly will also be seen in it.


Directed by Karan Johar, the screenplay of this movie is jointly written by Shashank Khaitan and Sumit Roy while the dialogue is by Ishita Moitra.

Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, and Apoorva Mehta are producing the movie under the banner ofย  Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios. Bollywood’s famous musician Pritam composed its music and Manush Nandan has done the cinematography.
