Amitabh Bachchan, popularly known as the King of Bollywood, will soon be seen in the upcoming courtroom drama thriller film Section 84.
Netflix’s web series Bard of Blood (2019) fame director Ribhu Dasgupta is directing this film and last time he directed Code Name Tiranga (2022) starring Parineeti Chopra, Hriday Sandhu, and Sharad Kelkar.
Section 84 is produced by Reliance Entertainment, Film Hangar, and Saraswati Entertainment in association with Jio Studios.
On March 1, 2023, Big B announced the film by sharing a 15-second video from his official Twitter account and wrote in the caption- “T 4572 – .. It is a pleasure to work with eminent creative minds in a film once again, and the challenge of this film instigates me to do better”.
It is written in the video “ Amitabh Bachchan In Section 84! Written & Directed By Ribhu Dasgupta”.
Dasgupta tells the media that- “I feel very happy, blessed, and honored to work with Amitabh sir again! Now looking forward to film work.
Big B has previously worked with Dasgupta in the films Yudh (2014) and T3N (2016) and this is their third film together.
Section 84 shooting wrapped up
On June 15, 2023, the shooting of Section 84 has been completed and actress Diana Penty shared this information through a post on Instagram. The actress also shared the experience of working with Amitabh in the caption and wrote- what has been an incredibly special journey for me. Before we began shooting #Section84, I was beyond excited to be working with @amitabhbachchan for the first time, but also so damn nervous!! But now that we’ve been through a film together I can safely say, it has been one of the most enriching experiences of my career. As an actor, I finally know what it means to ‘BE’ in a scene. Mr. Bachchan allows you to do that and gives you space to do so much more. Watching and observing him is like witnessing a masterclass.
