Disney Hotstar is the largest online digital platform for Marvelous movies, reality shows, and web series and at the D23 Expo event from September 9 to September 11, many Disney Hotstar upcoming series of 2023 and 2024 were announced such as Mahabharat, Daredevil: Born Again, Captain America: New World Order, Koffee with Karan Season 8, Showtime, etc.

Actor, director, producer, and screenwriter Karan Johar announced his new Disney Hotstar series Showtime on 10th September 2022 and it is going to be Karan’s biggest show to date in which the hidden secrets of the Bollywood industry will be revealed.

Disney Hotstar content head Gaurav Banerjee said in an interview with Bollywood Hungama that “This new show of Karan will be based on the topic of nepotism and the story will be shown how they fit into Bollywood, the story will also be based on the studio and direction”.

He is very excited about this show and with the showtime announcement video Karan says that “ What is cinema But a dream with our eyes open and these dreams are controlled by the one who sites in the producer’s chair so who will capture the throne of Bollywood’s most powerful studio will it be youngblood restless for revolution or a hardened warrior who believes in the old order, The battle lines are drawn and only one of them only one will become the emperor of dreams”.

According to some media reports, Emraan Hashmi is going to be seen in the lead role in this show and he is also playing the role of the Villain in the upcoming movie Tiger 3 opposite Salman Khan. Emraan has previously worked in the series Bard of Blood (2019) and Dybbuk: The Curse Is Real (2021).

According to the source, this series can be released in June-July and many Bollywood actors can be seen in it, but at present, not much information has been shared by the makers and soon its complete information will be revealed after the release of the first teaser.
