In the last few years, there is a dearth of creative story writers in Bollywood, and seeing the popularity of South Indian movies, filmmakers are making Hindi remakes of them.
Vardhan Ketkar, who worked as an assistant director on Dabangg (2010) and Kapoor & Songs (2016), is making the Hindi remake of the Tamil hit movie Thadan (2019).
Thadan’s story and performances by actors Arun Vijay, Tanya Hope, Smruthi Venkat, and Vidya Pradeep were well-received by critics.
Talking about the Hindi remake, Vardhan Ketkar’s Gumraah is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murand Ketani under the banner of T-Series and Cini1 Studio.
Last year, Aditya had given information about the film by posting from his official social account and wrote in the caption that “Thrilled to announce my next”. The shooting of the film began in early 2022 and was completed on 26 July 2022.
Gumraah Movie Plot
In some ways, the story of this film is even better than a Hollywood film. The film begins with two twin brothers, one of whom is a very big businessman while the other keeps on stealing.
Both the brothers wanted to kill each other, but the twist starts when after the murder of a man, a mobile of a third lookalike of these two brothers is found in that place.
Then the police suspect these two brothers and they start to find out which of these two has committed this murder but they are unable to find out and the court also releases them due to lack of evidence.
Gumraah Movie Star Cast
Aashiqui 2 fame Aditya Roy Kapur is playing the lead role in this movie and he will be seen in a double role for the first time. Mrunal Thakur is playing the role of a police officer and she was last seen in the Telugu hit film Sita Ramam (2022).
