Aditya Roy Kapur was born on 16 November 1985 in Bombay, Maharashtra, India and he works in Bollywood Movies.
He started his career as a video jockey with Indian television music channel V and made his Bollywood debut in 2009 as a supporting actor in the Bollywood movie London Dreams, directed by Vipul Shah.
After playing supporting roles in Action Replayy (2010) and Guzaarish (2010), he got a chance to play the lead role in the Mohit Suri-directed romantic and musical film Aashiqui 2 (2013) opposite Shraddha Kapoor. This super hit movie was the highest-grossing movie of 2013.
Then he appeared in a supporting role in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013) but his next movies Daawat-e-Ishq (2014), Fitoor (2016), OK Jaanu (2017), and Kalank (2019) flopped at the box office because the audience did not like the story of these movies.
In these few years, his Malang (2020) and Ludo (2020) movies were able to impress the audience and in 2022, Rashtra Kavach Om was also a flop.

Jersey fame actress Mrunal Thakur will be seen in the lead role along with Aditya Roy Kapur in this Hindi remake of the Tamil movie Thadam. Directed by Vardhan Katkari and being produced under T-Series, Ronit Roy is also playing an important role and Aditya Roy Kapur will be seen in a double role.

Mohit Suri is working on the sequel of the successful hit Malang (2020), in which you will see Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani reprising their roles. According to a report, the movie may hit theaters in 2025.
