Alia Bhatt’s Jigra movie will be released in theaters on 27 September 2024 and the actress has announced it by sharing a motion poster on social media.
For the first time, Alia is playing the lead role in an action film in which there is no male lead actor.
Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta are the producers and Alia Bhatt is the co-producer of this film being directed by Indian filmmaker, screenwriter, and actor Vasan Bala.

After the success of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, on 26 September 2023, Alia Bhatt announced her next film Jigra by sharing a motion poster on social media.
In the motion poster, Alia’s animated avatar is standing in the rain with a bag in the middle of the road, and a voiceover is given in the background – Look, look at me. You are my protector, you are under my protection. “I don’t want you to be my main force, ever.” (Look at me, you are wearing my rakhi, you are in my protection. I will not let anything happen to you, ever).

With the announcement of Jigra, the actress has confirmed the release date of 27 September 2024. It will be interesting to see how Alia saves her brother and faces the villain in this film being produced under the banner of Dharma Productions.

Alia Bhatt is in the lead role in Jigra but the information about which actors have been selected for the supporting cast is yet to be announced by the makers.
