On June 15, 1964, Neem Karoli Baba consecrated the idol of Hanuman ji in the Kainchi temple, due to which a huge fair is organized here every year on June 15.

Neem Karoli Baba’s real name is Lakshminarayan Sharma and he was born in 1900 in Akbarpur village of Firozabad district of Uttar Pradesh.

He was a great devotee of Lord Hanuman ji and performed many miracles in his lifetime, seeing which many became devotees of Neem Karoli Baba.

Richard Alpert, a professor at Harvard University, was also one of his great devotees, he himself became addicted to LSD while studying chemical drugs like LSD, but his mind was also on spirituality, so he came to India in search of spirituality and met Baba neem karoli.

During the meeting, Richard Alpert gave a lot of LSD pills to Baba considering him to be an ordinary person, and even after taking all the pills, nothing happened to Baba.

Seeing this miracle, Richard Alpert became Baba’s disciple and Baba changed his name to Ramdas.

Along with writing a book Miracle of Love based on all the miracles of Neem Karoli Baba, Ramdas did spiritual connection and public welfare work in India and abroad with the help of organizations called Seva Foundation and Hanuman Foundation.

Neem Karoli Baba lived his whole life worshiping Lord Hanuman and helping people but died on September 11, 1973, at around 1:15 am in a hospital in Vrindavan, India after going into a diabetic coma.

Neem Karoli Baba did many miracles throughout his life, which his devotees tell people even today.

In 2023, more than two and a half lakh devotees are expected to attend the Kaichi Dham fair on June 15, and in view of the jam on the Bhawali-Almora/Ranikhet National Highway, the government and the temple council have made complete preparations for it.

On 15th June, devotees can go on this National Highway only till Bhawali with the help of a vehicle, and beyond that, devotees will have to walk about 8 kilometers to reach Kaichi Dham.

After reaching Kaichi Dham, like every year devotees visit the temple and take Malpua as Prasad and Prasad can also be taken home for the family members.
