During a fashion show in London, filmmaker Kaizad Gustad offered her a role in the movie Boom (2003) and after the shoot of this movie in India, Katrina started getting many Indian movie projects.
In 2004, she appeared in the Tamil movie Malliswari, directed by K. Vijaya Bhaskar, opposite actor Venkatesh in the lead role, and then appeared in an important role in the Bollywood movie Sarkar (2005), directed by Ram Gopal Varma.
Katrina became one of the top actresses in Bollywood after working in 4 hit movies Namastey London (2007), Apne (2007), Partner (2007), and Welcome (2007) in a single year.
After this Katrina appeared in many hit Bollywood movies including Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (15 Jul 2011), Ek Tha Tiger (15 Aug 2012), Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012), Dhoom 3 (20 Dec 2013), Tiger Zinda hai (22 Dec 2017), and many more.
