India’s biggest industrialist Shrikant Bhola’s biopic Sri is ready for release in which Rajkumar Rao is playing the lead role. Now the first look out of this most awaited film today.

Tushar Hiranandani, who made his directorial debut with Saand Ki Aankh (2019), is directing this biopic and he has also written the screenplay. Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Parmar are producing it under the banner of T-Series, Chalk, and Cheese Film Production. Pratham Mehta has done the cinematography.

Rajkummar Rao, one of the talented actors of Bollywood who has won 19 different Best Actor Film Awards for Shaheed, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Stree, Trapped, Newtone, and Kai Po Che, is playing the character of Srikant Bholla.

Some of his other upcoming Bollywood movies Guns and Gulabas, Mr. and Mrs. Mahi, Life In A Metro 2, and Swagat Hai will soon hit the screens. This month his Bheed is also ready to hit the theaters on 17th March starring Rajkumar Rao with Bhumi Pednekar.

Apart from this, Disney Plus Hotstar fame Alaya is playing the lead actress in Sri and will also be seen in the upcoming Bade Miyan Chote Miyan alongside Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.

Other actors Jyotika and Sharad Keller also play important roles.

Sri Release Date

A new release date for Sri has been announced so be ready to watch it on 10 May 2024 in the theater.

As the curtains rise on May 10, 2024, cinephiles across the nation will bear witness to the unfolding of a story that transcends the confines of the silver screen, leaving an indelible imprint on hearts and minds alike.

Before that makers planned to release it on 15 September 2023 and the release date was announced by sharing a 23-second video on Twitter.

If we talk about OTT, then the information about streaming service is not available yet but it will be available to watch on the OTT platform after 2 months of coming to the Theatre.

Who is Sri Kanth Bhola?

Sri Kanth Bhola was born on 7 July 1991 in Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India, and he has been blind since childhood. Despite being blind, he completed his schooling in science and was the topper of the class with 98% in his 12th board exams.

He wanted to do further studies in engineering, so he wanted to enter the coaching institutes of the Indian Institute of Technology, but due to not being able to see, admission was not given.

Bola then attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he was the first international blind student. He was so minded that he got many job opportunities in America but he wanted to do something big by staying in India.

After coming back to India, he started the Braille printing press to give education to the blind and make them self-reliant. In 2012, He started Bollant Industries with the support of Ratan Tata and provided employment to many blind people.

Within a few years of the establishment of Bollant Industries, Bolla had done a business of 150 crores on the strength of his ability.

A film based on his life has already been made in the Punjabi language, which was co-directed by Srikanth himself and Jagdeep Sindhu was its director.
