Sanjay Dutt’s full name is Sanjay Balraj Dutt and was born on 29 July 1959 in Mumbai, Bombay State, India. He is the son of popular Bollywood actors Sunil Dutt (died 25 May 2005) and Nargis Dutt (died 3 May 1981).
Sanjay made his acting debut as a child actor in Reshma Aur Shera (1971), directed by his father Sunil Dutt, starring Waheeda Rehman, Sunil Dutt, Amitabh Bachchan, Raakhee, and Vinod Khanna.
Ten years after this film, he appeared in the lead role in the Bollywood movie Rocky (1981), directed by his father.

His popularity is very high in India and people wanted to know about his life, so Rajkumar Hirani made a biopic of him named Sanju (2018) in which Ranbir Kapoor plays the role of Sanjay Dutt. Through this movie, the audience came to know about the ups and downs in Sanjay’s life.
In 2022, he appeared in the role of villain in the blockbuster Kannada movie KGF Chapter 2, and this movie became one of the biggest movies of Sanjay’s life by collecting 1,250 crores at the box office.
