The trailer of director Sameer Hemant Joshi’s upcoming Marathi film Kanni is out and the film will be released in theaters on March 8, 2024. Presented by Malhar Pictures Company and produced by Amit Bhargad, Gagan Meshram, Vaibhav Bhor, and Sunny Rajani, the film stars Hruta Durgule, Ajinkya Raut, Rishi Manohar and Shubhankar Tawde in lead roles. Deidre Rose, Elijah Khan, Robina Hula, and Sanjay Batra are also playing important roles.

Directed and written by Hemant Joshi, the comedy film follows Kalyani, a small-town girl from Maharashtra, India, living in London who, after losing her job, decides to marry a UK citizen and secure her future. She hatches a risky plan with her roommates. As friendships are tested, and relationships are at stake, Kalyani learns that true success and happiness require facing inner fears, ultimately realizing that the path to a meaningful life lies in resilience rather than shortcuts.

Kanni will be released in theaters in the Marathi language on March 8, which has already been confirmed. The 100-second teaser shared by the makers is also full of comedy. The teaser shows the actress looking for a man to marry in London and impressing a boy.
