Leo Movie Release Date, Trailer, Star Cast, Budget & More Information

Ever since the official title of director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s upcoming project Leo has been announced, the excitement about the film is increasing. Before the announcement, the makers had named it Thalapathy 67 but now the name of the film has been confirmed.

The office title Leo was announced on 3rd February 2023 and now the audience is eagerly waiting for the movie. we are sharing the latest information and full details of the film in this article.

Directed and written by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film’s dialogues are penned by Dheeraj Vaidya along with Rathna Kumar.

Last time Lokesh’s film Vikram (2022) did a box office collection of 432.5-500 crores in a budget of 120-150 crores and Kamal Haasan was seen in the lead role. According to some reports, its second part is also going to be made soon.

Talking about the film Leo, its shooting started in January 2023 in Chennai and after the completion of the first schedule, further, shooting started at different places in Jammu and Kashmir in February.

Manoj Paramhans has handled the work of cinematography, Philomin Raj is the editor, and the music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Lalit Kumar (Producer) and Jagadish Palanisamy (CO-Producer) are producing this film under the banner of Seven Screen Studios.

Director Lokesh Kanagraj shared the first film post on the occasion of Vijay’s 49 birthday on 22 June 2023. Seeing the poster, the excitement for the film increased among the fans.

Leo Movie OTT Release Date

If you want to watch this movie on an OTT platform then there is good news for you. Netflix has bought Leo’s digital rights for Rs 120 crores and the film will be available to watch to watch on Netflix on 24th November 2023.

Sun TV has bought its satellite rights for 80 crores and it will be available to watch in the Tamil language in 2024 on this channel. Filmmakers will soon confirm the OTT  release date of the film so stay tuned to this page to know the latest news of the film.

Joseph Vijay is playing the lead role in this film and he has already worked with Lokesh in Master (2021). Vijay was last seen in Vamshi Paidipally’s Varisu and now the film is available on Amazon Prime Video.

Ponniyin Selvan:1 fame Trisha Krishnan is playing the lead actress in Leo while Sanjay Dutt will be seen in the role of Villain. On the occasion of Sanjay Dutt’s birthday on 29 July 2023, the makers shared a short video of 37 seconds and shared Sanjay Dutt’s first look with fans.

The makers gave a grand welcome to Sanjay Dutt to join the film and also shared a short video in which Sanjay Dutt met filmstar Vijay after coming from the airport and discussed the project.

Popular South Indian actor Arjun Sarja is playing the villain role named Harold Das and makers have shared his 41-sec short video on  15 August.

Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mathew Thomas, Miskin, Priya Anand, Mansoor Ali Khan, Sandy Master, Abhirami Venkatachalam, Janany Kunseelan, and Manobal will be seen in important roles.

Its 2 minutes 28-second promo video was shared by the filmmakers on 3 February 2023 and has become the most-viewed YouTube video by more than 1.1 million people in 6 hours. It has got 1.8 million likes with 46 million views in two weeks.
