Blue Beetle is a superhero from DC Comics and the movie based on this comic character is ready to hit the theaters & OTT platform in 2023.
Charm City Kings (2020) fame director Angel Manuel Soto is directing super action Blue Beetle and the story is written by Gareth Dunnet-Alaksar. The film is being produced by John Rickard and popular producer Peter Safran under the banner of DC Studios, Entertainment One, S&K Pictures, and The Safran Company.
Distributed by Warner Bros Pictures, the cinematography for Blue Beetle was handled by Pawel Pogorzelski, and from 25 May 2022, its shooting started in English as well as the Spanish language. The filmmakers completed all their shoots on 18 July 2022 and are planning to release globally on August 2023.
Some footage of the film has been leaked, in which Xolo Maridueña is seen in a suit and the filmmakers are taking a shot of him, in which Blue Beetle is seen falling on top of a car.

On April 3, 2023, DC shared the first 2-minute 30-second trailer of the film with its official handle, in which it can be seen how Jaime Reyes finds a beetle in a burger packet. Beetle connects to Jaime, turning him into a superhero.

Who Is Blue Beetle?
Blue Beetle is a DC Comics superhero and the character has previously appeared in the Superman TV series Smallville in 2010. Then it was seen in dc nation’s short animated movie in 2011.
The origin of this superhero begins with an alien beetle device found by a boy. When this beetle device connects to a human body, it turns into a war custom and this custom has a lot of power that its wearer can control.
Blue Beetle’s superpowers are shapeshifting, sound manipulation, energy projection, pyrokinesis, flying, superhuman durability, superhuman strength, device control, etc, which you will soon be able to see in the movie.
