Chandramukhi 2 release date is confirmed and will hit the theaters on Ganesh Chaturthi 2023. Now filmmakers have shared the first poster of Kangana Ranaout and Raghava Lawrence in August 2023.
Renowned Tamil writer and director Vasudevan Peethambaran is making a remake of Chandramukhi. This Tamil film was released in 2005 and starred Rajinikanth, Jyothika Sadanah, and Prabhu Ganesan in the lead roles and was a blockbuster with a budget of 19 crores, collecting 75 crores at the box office.
However, based on the Chandramukhi character, director Fazil first made the Malayalam film Manichitratazhu (1993) and then many remakes were made into Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi languages in different cinema industries of India.
On January 14, 2022, Raghava announced the film by tweeting and writing notes- “The shooting of the film started in Mysore the next day with the announcement of the film on 14 July 2022 with a special note- “I’m elated to announce my next project #Chandramukhi2! I’m extremely happy to work with Vadivelu anna again. A big Thanks to my Guru #Rajinikanth! Thanks to Shivaji Production for giving the title. I’m excited to collaborate with Subaskaran sir @LvcProducation for the first time and I’m happy to be directed by Vasu Sir again!”.
The shooting of the film started the day after the announcement and actor Raghava Lawrence personally met Rajinikanth and sought his blessings. Raghava also shared an image on social media after taking blessings, in which both the stars are looking very happy together.
On 23 February 2023, the makers clicked a group photo with the film crew shared it on social media, and informed that the 3rd schedule of Chandramukhi 2 has been completed. In this image, actresses and some actors are looking very good in traditional dress and the happiness at the completion of the shot is visible on their faces.

Chandramukhi 2 Star Cast
Kanchana film fame actor, director, composer, and playback singer Raghava Lawrence is playing the lead role in Chandramukhi 2. He started his career in the film industry as a dance choreographer in 1993 and today is a well-known actor in South Cinema.
Last time he was seen in a double role in Muni 4 Kanchana 3 and this year his Rudran is ready to hit the theaters in April.

Comedy King Vadivelu is playing his character Murugesan in this movie. Even in its first part, he played his role very well and people liked his comedy scenes very much.
Makers have chosen Kangana Ranaut as the lead actress in this film because she is an expert in Kathak and many other Indian dances and can play the character of Chandramukhi very well.
This is Kangana’s second Tamil film after Thalevi, based on the life of actress and politician Jayalalithaa, and considered one of the top actresses in the Bollywood industry, she is all set to impress the audience with her performance in South.
Kangana says that Jyothika Saravanan’s performance in Chandramukhi is very impressive and it is very challenging to perform this character like her but I have given my best and tried my level best to give a performance like Jyothika.

Raghava Lawrence, the main lead actor of Chandramukhi 2, has announced the release date of the film through a post on Twitter. The film will be released in theaters in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam & Kannada languages on 19 September 2023, on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi.

Chandramukhi 2 OTT Release Date
OTT platform Netflix has bought the digital rights to the film and will be available to watch on Netflix in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada languages after 2 months of theatrical release.
So the film will be available to watch on this online streaming service on November 2023 but the OTT release date is yet to be announced.
