Tamil industry’s biggest superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming Jailer is ready to hit the theaters soon and this is his 169th film, before that, he was seen in Annaatthe (2021) which was a hit at the box office with a business of 240 crores at the box office.
The filmmakers announced the movie Jailer on 10 February 2022 and after revealing the title on 10 February 2022, the shooting started on 22 August 2022. Now its work is in its final stage and will be completed by February last. Makers had also shared the first look of Rajinikanth on the first day of the shoot, in which he is looking very serious.

Jailer Release Date Theater & OTT
Jailer was earlier scheduled to release on 14th April 2023 but the date has been postponed and now the film will be ready to hit the theaters on 10 August 2023.

Talking about the movie being available on the OTT platform, its digital rights have not yet been bought by any online streaming service and it will be available in Hindi and Tamil languages on digital platforms only after 2 months of theatre release.
On October 12, 2022, Sun TV shared the first video of 1 minute 40 seconds, in which Rajinikanth gets ready by putting perfume and wearing glasses, then in the last, a sword comes out. You can see the video below, in which the background music is playing tremendously.

Rajinikanth will be seen playing the character of the jailer in this film while Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah, and popular Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar will also be seen in lead roles. Shiva is very popular for Bhajarangi (2013) and was last seen in Kannada Movie Vidhaya (2022).
Talking about Tamannaah, she will also be seen in the upcoming Telugu movie Bhola Shankar alongside Chiranjeevi and Keerthy Suresh.

The Jailer is an action-drama film written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar who has produced three movies to date including Kolamaavu Kokila (2018), Doctor (2021), and Beast (2022).
Kalanithi Maran is producing the movie made on a budget of 175 crores under his company Sun Pictures banner. This company produces and distributes Tamil movies only.
Anirudh Ravichander, who composed music for Velaiyilla Pattathari (2014), Kaththi (2014), Vikram Vidha (2017), and Master (2021), is also handling the music for Jailer. He is the son of actor Ravi Raghavendra and nephew of Rajinikanth.
Nirmal is the film editor in it and is also handling the editing work in the upcoming Tamil film Singa.
