Ready to release on 6th October 2023 Akshay Kumar’s Mission Raniganj teaser is out now.
Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, this film is based on the incident that took place in Raniganj Coalfields of West Bengal in 1989, which is being produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Jackky Bhagnani and Ajay Kapoor.
The film was earlier named Mission Raniganj: The Great Indian Rescue. But after the government changed the official name of the country to Bharat, the makers have also changed the title to The Great Bharat Rescue.
Mission Raniganj Star Cast
Akshay Kumar is playing the character of mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill who rescued 65 mine workers in the Raniganj Coalfields collapse of 1989 in West Bengal.
After the blockbuster Kesari, Parineeti Chopra is working with Akshay for the second time and will be seen in the character of Jaswant Singh Gill’s wife Nirdosh.
Kumud Mishra, Pavan Malhotra, Ravi Kishan, Gaurav Prateek, Varun Badola, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Rajesh Sharma, Virendra Saxena, Shishir Sharma, Ananth Mahadevan, Jameel Khan, Sudhir Pandey, Bachan Pachera, Mukesh Bhatt, and Omkar Das Manikpuri are playing important characters of mining workers.
Mission Raniganj Makers and Crew Members
Tinu Suresh Desai is directing this film, he is known for the 2016 hit Rustom. His father was the legendary production manager Suresh Desai, known for Bollywood films like Sholay, Shaan, and Seeta aur Geeta.
Screenwriter, filmmaker, and author Vipul K Rawal, who worked with Desai in Rustom, has written the screenplay of Mission Raniganj.
Cinematographer Aseem Mishra, who has worked in many films like New York (2009), Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Dabangg 2(2012), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), Phantom (2015), Dream Girl (2019), has done cinematography.
Produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Jackky Bhagnani, and Ajay Kapoor under the banner of Pooja Entertainment, this survival thriller is distributed worldwide by PVR Pictures.
Mission Raniganj Release Date
On September 6, 2023, the makers also announced the release date by sharing the first poster of the film. Mission Raniganj will be released in theaters on 6 October 2023.

About The Mission Raniganj
The film is based on the promising and courageous Jaswant Singh Gill who worked as a mining engineer in Raniganj Coalfields, West Bengal.
Due to a major accident in Coalfields in 1989, many workers get trapped there but Jaswant gets 64 miners rescued on the basis of his understanding, understanding, and courage.
The makers started its shooting in July 2022, which was completed with the song in August 2023.
