Ravi Teja’s real name is Bhupatiraju Ravi Shankar Raju and he was born on 26 January 1968 in Jaggampeta, Andhra Pradesh, India.
He was married to Kalyani Teja on 26 May 2002 and they have two children named Mokshadha Bhupatiraju (born in 2002) and Mahadhan Bhupatiraju (born in 2006).
Ravi wanted to become an actor since childhood, so after completing his Bachelor of Arts degree from Siddhartha Degree College, Vijayawada, he moved to Madras in 1988 to become an actor.
After coming to Madras, he had to struggle a lot and got small roles in some Telugu movies Karthavyam (1990), Abhimanyu (1990), Chaitanya (1991), Collector Gaari Alludu (1992), and Aaj Ka Goonda Raj (1992). He also worked as an assistant director for some movies and TV serials.
In 1997, he got a supporting role in the Telugu movie Sindhuram, directed by Krishna Vamsi, and in this movie, Brahmaji and Sanghvi were in the lead role.
After playing supporting roles in a few more movies, Ravi Teja got his chance to play the lead role in the 1999 Telugu movie Nee Kosam opposite actress Maheshwari.
After this, he played the lead role in many movies but got real success from the movie Khadgam (2002) and then gave many hit movies including Avunu Valliddaru Ista Paddaru! (2002), Idiot (2002), Khadgam (2002), Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi (2003), Venky (2004), Naa Autograph (2004), Dubai Seenu (2007), Neninthe (2008), Kick (2009), Don Seenu (2010), Balupu (2013), Krack (2021), Dhamaka (2022) and many more.
He is such a Telugu actor who speaks Hindi very well and appears in full comedy with action in the movie.
