Tamil film Kaithi 2 directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj will be ready to hit the theaters very soon.

The filmmakers have revealed through a post on social media that they are working on a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster film Kaithi and again actor Karthi is playing the lead role.

Made with a budget of 25 crores, Kaithi was released on 25 October 2019 and was a blockbuster with a box office collection of 105 crores

Impressed by the film’s story, screenplay, and positive response from the audience, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan also made its Hindi remake Bhoola in 2023.

Currently, director Lokesh Kanagaraj has started work on Kaithi 2 with crew member, Karthi and other star cast, and this time the makers are planning to release the film at Pan India level in 2024 in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi languages.

Who is the Star Cast Of Kaithi 2

Some of the actors from the previous part are reprising their roles in this sequel which are as follows:

1- Karthi is reprising the role of the character Dilli and was last seen in the superhit Ponniyin Selvan: II. He is also playing the lead role in the upcoming movie Japan which will be released very soon.

2- Baby Monica reprises her character Amudha who is Dilli’s daughter.

3- Dheena plays the character of Kamatchi who is Dilli’s associate.

4- Narain is playing the character of Bejoy, Inspector.

5- Harish Uthaman is playing the character of Adaikalam.

Many new actors are going to join the sequel and their information is yet to be shared by the makers.

Who are the makers and crew members of Kaithi 2?

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj this sequel is produced by S. R. Prakashbabu, S. R. Prabhu, and Thiruppur Vivek under the banner of Dream Warrior Pictures and Vivekananda Pictures.

These producers have also produced its first part.

Sathyan Sooryan handled the cinematography and previously worked on the cinematography of Yuddham Sei, Mugamoodi, 100 Degree Celsius, Maya, Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae, Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, Adanga Maru, Yatra, Kaithi, Master, Sulthan, Ramarao on Duty, and Dasara.

Philomin Raj is handling the film editing and Sam C. S. is composing the music.

When is Kaithi 2 releasing?

Kaithi 2 will reveal Dilli’s mysterious old truth which will put her daughter Amudha’s life in danger along with him.

How Dilli combats the threat from the past will be revealed only after the film releases in 2024.

As of now, the release date of Kaithi is yet to be revealed by the filmmakers but as per some sources, the film will hit the theaters in the summer of 2024 in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi languages.
