Thug Life Release Date, Trailer, Teaser, Star Cast, Makers & More
Kamal Haasan’s upcoming Tamil film Thug Life will be ready to hit the theaters in 2024.
Directed by Mani Ratnam, this film was earlier known as KH234. On November 6, the makers announced the title of the film by sharing the title announcement video.
Jointly produced by Siva Ananth, Kamal Haasan, R. Mahendran, Mani Ratnam, and Udhayanidhi Stalin, the action thriller film stars Dulquer Salmaan, Jayam Ravi, and Trisha along with Haasan.
Hassan had earlier worked with Ratnam in the gangster drama Nayakan, released in 1987.

Padma Shri awardee Mani Ratnam is the director of Thug Life. Last time he directed the super hit Pan India film Ponniyin Selvan: II (2023).
Siva Ananth, Kamal Haasan, R. Mahendran, Mani Ratnam, and Udhayanidhi Stalin are producing the film under the banner of Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies, and Red Giant Movies.
Oscar Award Winner A.R. Rahman has handled the music of the film, Ravi K. Chandran is the cinematographer, A. Sreekar Prasad is working on editing, Sharmishta Roy is doing the art direction and Anand Krishnamoorthi is working on the sound design.
Giorgi Iarajuli is doing Kamal Haasan’s stunt double. He is known for Beast (2022), Vikram (2022), and Indian 2 (2024).
Thug Life Star Cast
Kamal Haasan is playing the lead role as a character named Rangaraya Sakthivel Nayakar. Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, and Dulquer Salmaan are playing supporting roles while talented actors Abhirami and Nassar will be seen in important roles.
Some new actors can also join the film, details of which will be announced by the makers very soon.

On November 6, 2023, the makers shared a 2-minute 55-second title announcement video of KH234. The makers have filmed some action scenes in the desert area which are shown in this video and are entertaining the audience a lot.
