Vettaiyan Release Date, Cast, Trailer, Teaser & More
The shooting of superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming action film Vettaiyan is almost complete and will be released in theaters in 2024. Directed by T. J. Gnanavel, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan.
Subaskaran Allirajah is producing Vettaiyan under the banner of his film production company Lyca Productions. He has earlier produced big-budget films like India 2.0 (2018), Ponniyin Selvan: I (2022), and Ponniyin Selvan: II (2023).
The title of the film, tentatively titled Thalaivar 170, was announced in December 2023. S. R. Kathir handled the cinematography work of this film which was shot in Kerala, Tirunelveli, Chennai, Mumbai, and Andhra Pradesh.

Vettaiyan Release Date
Currently, the film is in under production stage and 80 percent shooting has been completed. The makers have not yet announced the release date of Vettaiyan but they plan to release it in theaters in 2024. After the 1991 Bollywood film Hum, Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth will be seen together in this film and this is Amitabh’s first Tamil language film.

Cinematography work has been done by S.R. Kathir. He has previously worked with director T. J. Gnanavel for Jai Bhim starring Suriya in the lead role. Kaithi (2019), Vikram (2022), and Master (2021) fame film editor Philomin Raj has done the editing work.
