Yami Gautam is an Indian actress and was born on 28 November 1988 in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, India to Punjabi film director Mukesh Gautam and housewife Anjali Gautam.
After completing her schooling in Chandigarh, the actress was admitted to the college to complete her further studies with law honors.
Yami Gautam Career
Earlier she wanted to make her career in Indian Administrative Services (IAS), but later she chose acting and made her big screen debut in 2012 with an important role in the Punjabi film Power Cut.
At the age of just 20, Gautam moved to Mumbai to pursue an acting career in movies and made her television debut in the TV serial Chand Ke Paar Chalo (2009).
After working in some more television serials, she appeared in the lead role with actor Ganesh in the Kannada film Ullasa Utsaha (2010) directed by Devraj Palan.
In 2012, she made her Bollywood debut as a lead actress in the hit movie Vicky Donor directed by Shoojit Sircar. In this film, she played the role of Ayushmann Khurrana‘s love interest.
Yami Gautam has worked in many hit movies till now which include Badlapur (2015) and Kaabil (2017), Uri: The Surgical Strike, A Thursday (2022), OMG 2 (2023), and many more.
