Naveen Kumar Gowda was born on 8 January 1986 in Boovanahalli, Hassan district, Karnataka, India and is also known as Yashwant. He was married to Kannada actress Radhika Pandit on 9 December 2016 and their children Ayra was born on 2 December 2018 and Yatharv on 30 October 2019.
Yash wanted to become an actor since childhood and started his acting career in 2014 with the television serial Uttarayan, after that he played important roles in some other TV series as well.
In 2007, He got a chance to play a supporting role in the Kannada movie Jambada Hudagi. In 2008, he also appeared in a supporting role in the movie Moggina Manasu and filmmakers liked his work, then Yash played the lead role in the Kannada movie Rocky (2008), directed by S. K. Nagendra Urs.
After this, he worked in many movies but made his mark in the Kannada movie industry with the 2013 movie Googly. After giving some hit movies, his K.G.F: Chapter 1 (2018) movie made him a Kannada superstar.
In 2022, KGF Chapter 2, directed by Prashanth Neel, broke box office records and became one of the third highest-grossing movies in India. People liked this film very much and now filmmakers are working on its third part, which will be named KGF Chapter Part 3.

According to media reports, Nathan is directing this movie and Pooja Hedge along with Yash will be seen in the lead role in this movie. The name of the movie is not yet announced but soon the filmmakers will share the details of the movie with the media.

After the success of KGF 2, director Prashanth Neel is planning to release KGF Chapter 3 in 2024 and Yash will again be seen in full action in this film. This film will be produced by Hombale Films and the details of the movie have not yet been shared by the filmmakers in the media.
