500 crores big-budget Telugu movie Project-k will release in theaters on 12 January 2024 and it is being directed by Nag Ashwin Reddy.
Ashwin started his direction career as an assistant director in Nenu Meeku Telusa…? (2008) and has made Yevade Subramaniam (2015), Hardworking (2018), Pitta Kathalu (2021) under his direction as well as produced a film Jathi Ratnalu (2021).
Project-K is Ashwin’s biggest film to date and Baahubali star Prabhas is playing the lead role. Apart from Om Raut’s Adupurush, this South star will also be seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming horror film Spirit.
Nag Ashwin’s film is being made in two parts and the shooting of the first part started in July 2021. Makers have used high technology and futuristic vehicles in the shoot with the support of businessman Anand Mahindra to make the scene authentic and genuine.
The film shooting has been completed in January 2023 in Hindi and Telugu language and many big Bollywood actors are also going to be seen in it. Currently, the work on VFX and editing of the film is going on which is expected to be completed very soon.
Project-K Star Cast & Filmmakers
Directed and written by Nag Ashwin Reddy, the film stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Suriya, and Disha Patani in lead roles while Amitabh Bachchan, Dulquer Salmaan, Md Nadim Mostofa play supporting roles.
Recently filmmakers welcome Kamal Hassan for playing an important role in this film.
Disha has previously worked in the Telugu industry and this is her second Telugu film after Loafer (2015). Deepika is very excited about this film after the success of her last Bollywood film Pathan (2023) and she will soon be seen in another big Bollywood film Fighter opposite Hrithik.
Project K is being produced by Nag Ashwin’s wife’s mother Chalasani Aswani Dutt under the banner of her production house Vyjayanthi Movies. Mickey J Mayer is the music composer and Dani Sanchez-Lopez handled the cinematography while the visual effects by Brad Minchich.
On October 11, 2022, during Big B’s birthday, Vyjayanthi Movies revealed the first movie poster on the official social media page and a few days later, on Prabhas’s birthday, shared a second poster. The hand is visible in both posters, in the first with a bandage and in the second with armor.

Project-K Behind the Scenes
On 31 December 2022, the makers shared the first BTS video of the film titled Skratch and it has crossed 1 million views so far. You can see in the video how hard the film crew is making a tire.
On 10 April 2023, the makers shared another video of 1 minute 11 seconds, in which the technical crew of the film is preparing the uniform of the villain. The villain’s uniform looks absolutely futuristic, which you can see below.
