Director Selvaraghavan is making Aayirathil Oruvan 2 and its first part was released in 2010 starring Karthi, Reemma Sen, and Andrea Jeremiah. Made on a budget of 30 crores, the film was a hit at the box office collecting 50 crores.
Now the makers are making its sequel on a budget of 32 crores but this time actresses Reemma Sen, and Andrea Jeremiah is not part of the film.
Selvaraghavan is the elder brother of actor Dhanush and after directing the film Irandam Ulagam (2013) his directorial skills have been praised everywhere.
Taking about Aayirathil Oruvan 2, VFX and many latest filmmaking techniques will be used in this film and the shooting location will be in the mountains, due to which it will take some time to make.

After some time, Dhanush retweeted this post and wrote a beautiful caption for the director- “This is a masterpiece and pre-production will take 1 year but the wait for a dream film from Guru will be long. We will give our best to be worth it. AO2 ..The Prince returns in 2024”.
