On August 28, 2023, the makers announced Thani Oruvan 2 by sharing a video of 2 minutes 52 seconds, in which Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara are in the lead roles.
It is a sequel to the 2015 blockbuster Tamil film of the same name. Directed by Mohan Raja the first part was released on 28 August 2015 which was well received by the audience and is one of the most successful movies of Jayam with 8.9 IMDb rating.
Filmmakers are now going to make this sequel better than the first part which will be available to watch in theaters in 2024.

Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara, who were seen in the lead roles in the first part of the film, are reprising their characters in the sequel. Yes, some new actors have also joined the film.

:- Nayanthara is playing the character of forensic specialist Mahima. who is also Mithran’s girlfriend in the film.

The film is produced by Kalpathi S. Aghoram, Kalpathi S. Ganesh, and Kalpathi S. Suresh under the banner of their company AGS Entertainment.
